Clasp Therapeutics launched in the spring of 2024, and in that short time it has set the ecosystem ablaze. The biotech, led by former Surface Oncology CEO Rob Ross, launched with $150 million in venture capital funding. This year, the biotech is advancing the first tumor-specific cancer therapy and dosed the first patient in a Phase 1 trial. In its first year and a half, Clasp has validated its approach to cancer by moving its first program into the clinic, with a second program anticipated to enter clinical trials next year.
